How can residents still receive parcels and post when their street's broken up for roadworks? It's a very frustrating issue for both retailers and residents. Limburg municipality Overpelt has found a solution to the problem.

One of residents' big annoyances during roadworks is the inadequate delivery of their post and online orders. Because the street is completely broken up, couriers can't reach the mailboxes or ring residents' doorbells anymore. Which causes a lot of inconvenience.

A mobile post office could provide some solace. In Overpelt, a street with about 200 residents will be undergoing roadworks for a year. That's why the municipality installed a Bringme Box at CC Palethe, so its inhabitants are still able to receive post and parcels. Via the Bringme App, they get a personal access code to come and pick up their orders from the box whenever it suits them.
